Terms of use and content responsibilities.
What HoiPlayer provides, what you bring, and how responsibilities are separated across our editions.
Updated 28 October 2026Software, not a content subscription
HoiPlayer is independent media-player software for organising and playing user-supplied sources. It does not supply, sell, host, rebroadcast or bundle channels, films, series, playlists or content subscriptions. Purchasing or activating the app concerns the software only; it does not provide media access, broadcasting rights or a subscription to an independent provider.
Your sources and permissions
You select and supply your sources and connection details. You are responsible for checking access rights, obtaining the permissions required for your location and intended use, and complying with applicable copyright law and provider terms. Do not use HoiPlayer for unauthorised access, infringement, circumvention of technical protections or unlawful redistribution.
Independent providers and metadata
Content providers, networks and metadata services are independent third parties. Their links, availability, accuracy and compatibility can change. HoiPlayer does not operate those services. Titles, artwork, descriptions and ratings identify and present items; they do not grant playback rights, confirm lawful availability or imply endorsement by a rights holder or platform.
Accounts, devices and data
Protect your devices and source credentials. The tested Android builds use platform-protected storage for account credentials, with separate local catalogue and playback caches. Playback, activation, saved-state and metadata functions can also contact network services. Data operations vary by edition and enabled features; website privacy information does not cover every app operation. Remove your information before transferring a device, and never send private credentials to support.
Common principles, edition-specific availability
These principles apply wherever a HoiPlayer edition is offered, including Android and Android TV, Fire TV, Windows, Apple platforms, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Roku, VIDAA, Whale TV and Titan OS. Naming a platform does not announce a release or guarantee compatibility. Android phone and TV builds are currently being tested; other editions are planned. Applicable store licences, permissions and edition-specific data disclosures also apply when relevant.
Responsibility and statutory rights
Selecting and lawfully using independently supplied content is the user's responsibility. Any exclusion or limitation concerning user-added content applies only where legally permitted. Liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and other mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected. Statutory consumer rights concerning HoiPlayer itself are not excluded or transferred to a content provider.
Versions and material changes
The current version and date of these notices are displayed. Material changes will be communicated and handled as required by applicable law. Publishing revised wording does not automatically waive existing rights or replace any consent that the law requires. Availability, purchase and platform-specific conditions must be assessed for the edition actually offered.
Support and abuse reports
For HoiPlayer software support and abuse or copyright concerns connected with our website, app or materials, contact support@hoiplayer.com. Explain the issue and provide a relevant public reference where possible. Do not send passwords or complete private playlist links. We can investigate our own services and materials; we cannot remove media from an independent provider's servers.
